Shorelines

A short hike yesterday on the Lariault Trail brought me to one of my favourite lakes, Mulvihill Lake, which I find to be a real gem.  This little lake was hollowed out in the mid 1940s by Basil Mulvihill to the great consternation of Prime Minister Mackenzie King who owned property nearby on Kingsmere Lake which Mulvihill Lake would eventually drain from.  There even was a lawsuit launched, however King died before it could proceed.  Even with this lake being so tiny I’m always struck by the variation in the beauty of its shorelines.
